    Monica received her PhD in Mechanical and Automation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, focused on R&D in vision-based navigation system.

    After installing the visual-based navigation system and lens, a forklift can transform into an automatic mobile robot which can operate independently in warehouse environment. The driverless transport of cargo helps save manpower and operation cost.

    Monica believes with the support of HKSTP's incubation programme, their visual-based navigation system will become a big hit in Hong Kong's logistic industry and they will soon be expanding to world market in the future.

    Smart City

    Nexpack's goal is to promote an integrated open IoT platform for nexpaq's users and developers. Their innovative design modular smartphone case with modules is compatible with Android and iPhone (iOS), and enhances smartphone functions.

    There are currently 12 modules available, including battery power, SD card reader, super LED flashlight, speaker, breathalyzer, air quality, USB flash, humidity and temperature, and amplified speaker.

    Living Tissues specialises in the technology of repairing cartilage damages caused by traumas and degeneration in osteoarthritis lesions. Using the patient's own stem-cells, in particular extracted from patient's bone marrow, can be grown into cartilage tissues of the shape and size fit for cartilage repairs and replacements. Patients can benefit from speedy recovery from such regenerative treatment.

    Living Tissues is a successful example of turning ideas and researches from university into applications. They were named one of 2015 Red Herring's Top 100 Asian Startups.
